Great weekend away We would definitely stay here again. Food was lovely and the breakfast to order was absolutely delicious. The room was fine and I enjoyed great night's sleep. The staff are a credit to this hotel - they are so attentive and cannot do enough for their guests. A definite five-star - looking forward to returning.

Excellent weekend Just back from a brilliant stay at Ostan Loch Altan. The hotel was spotless and very comfortable . Food in the bar was of an excellent standard and breakfast was beautiful. Beds were very comfortable and rooms well equipped for all our needs. Great place for exploring Donegal we will definitely be back.

Enjoyed our stay - We really enjoyed our stay , The staff are so pleasant & helpful , nothing is an issue for any of them - They are a credit to the hotel , The food and breakfast were great, plenty of choice on both restaurant and breakfast menus , Our bedroom was comfortable , The Hotel itself may be a little dated - but really welcoming & comfortable , If i was to be really picky - i would say for me personally the mattress on the bed was to soft , However this would not stop me returning and we do intend a return visit in the near future.

Met my needs very well The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. Everything was as it should be. I found the breakfast to be freshly prepared and very satisfying. The location was excellent for me as I had a few days to go to near by beaches, hills and scenic trails. The pint was nice too. Thank you

Excellent Hotel, in an excellent location. This was our 4th time to stay in this hotel. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The rooms are very warm and cosy, with comfortable beds. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly.The food is very good, and very reasonably priced. Getting change from €5 for a pint in Ireland these days is rare, this hotel do beautiful pints of Guinness and Heineken for less than €5 a pint.Great selection at breakfast, including a freshly cooked Full Irish Breakfast.The location of the hotel is perfect, it really is a beautiful part of Donegal.The Hotel has a very homely feel to it, which is why it won't be long until we return once again.

A Great Base for Touring the Area! We made a return visit here to the Ostan Loch Altan as the area has so much to offer & this hotel is the perfect place to stay. The hotel staff are really welcoming, friendly & helpful. Marie in particular on reception was extremely helpful, efficient & friendly & nothing was too much trouble. We also had contact with Aine & found her to be in her perfect chosen career too. The food was good, there were good choices for breakfast & there were a couple of menus to choose from for evening meals. Our room was comfortable & was kept scrupulously clean throughout. The Loch Altan makes the perfect base to discover all North West Donegal has to offer. Donegal is a county that covers a huge expanse & each area has it's own unique charm. North west Donegal on the Wild Atlantic Way has access to the islands of Tory & Arranmore, again each having their own particular landscape & totally different from each other. We would definitely return again & would recommend a stay here when touring the north west & the wonderful coastline of Donegal with it's fabulous beaches & coves along the Wild Atlantic Way!

Great value weekend Just back from a lovely stay at this hotel. Brilliant value for two nights B&B and one evening meal. The food was excellent and the staff amongst the friendliest I've experienced, from reception staff to waiting staff and the night porter, a real credit to the hotel! We stayed in room 101, a little rustic I would say but perfectly comfortable. Go raibh mile maith agaibh, we will definitely visit again x
