Óstán Loch Altan, situated in Gortahork, North West Donegal, is a 39 en-suite bedroom hotel. It is named after Loch Altan, a lake situated at the foot of the northern slopes of nearby Mount Errigal. Gort a'Choirce, meaning field of oats, is in the heart of the Donegal Gaeltacht. The Wild Atlantic Way passes just outside our front door. Óstán Loch Altan has built up an excellent reputation for the quality of its food. The A La Carte menu in the SONAS Restaurant always include a seasonal selection of fresh local produce with Atlantic fresh fish dishes a speciality. Head chef, Gary Penrose,looks forward to welcoming you to the SONAS restaurant where you will be treated to a delightful dining experience by restaurant manager Bernie Boyle and her friendly and efficient staff. The bar of the hotel is known as Teach Pháidin. Lunch is served in this bar from 1-5 daily and is followed by high quality bar food which is available until 9.00 p.m. seven days a week.
